Jackson, MS dinner suggestion -- is Parlor Market still on the A-list?

Crechale's is top of my list, but my buddy might not get the Highway-80 / old-school vibe. His loss, but he's paying.
Looking through a Google search I was reminded of Parlor Market. Did it survive and/or grow past the unfortunate 2011 death of its owner? Anything other similar "new-Mississippi-food" places to investigate?
TIA

Yes parlor market is open and still very good. I'll also add Lou's full serve and Manship. You can't go wrong with any of those 3.

Damn strong suggestions, Coater. Thanks!
This line in Lou's webpage really brought back the memories ...
Jackson trivia: know what phrase "POET'S" allegedly stood for?

Story as we 70's Jackson Prep kids understood it: POET'S proprietor was turned down for a (TGI)Friday's franchise (remember this is early 70's Jackson; TGIF was one of them new-fangled **fancy** places).
POET'S owner started his own place, giving it the F-U name standing for "Piss On Everything, Tomorrow's Saturday".
Wiki now tells me we had it wrong, it's a UK worker's term for "piss off early, tomorrow's Saturday". Whatever, 40+ years ago we learned to support the local guys over the chain places. Still doing it now!

Manship was one of the best meals of the past year.
