Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire/cinnamon whiskeys.

I realize I am way behind the times with all the fireball/cinnamon hype. Hadn't tried any of them, but decided to give the Ball, JD Fire, or Beam Fire a taste tonight. Settled on Jack Fire since it's only available in a few states. This is absolutely vile. Took everything in my power to choke down two shots. Something about the cinnamon and sugar blast instantly makes me queasy. I had flashbacks of weddings in the mid 1990s when Goldschlager was all the rage. And it's not that I am too tough for sweet. I enjoy Jack Honey and a little less so Crown Maple. Anyway, I don't know how the kids are drinking this stuff. If any of you have compared this to Fireball or Beam Fire, I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Too bad there isn't a Whiskey Bourbon Scotch thread ......

I'm not sure those guys would be all that excited about discussing cinnamon flavored whiskey.

I like it but I guess us kids are just crazy!

Agree, they are vile. Kids drink it because kids have no palate and will drink anything they think helps them fit in. Then they grow up and sweetened liquors will lose their appeal. Or they don't and spend their lives trying to decide between Chili's and Olive Garden for a night out on the town.

Dang Jake88. You are quite the master of the broad sweeping statements.
But at least you are pretentious.

Relax, have a Fireball shot. I'm only serious about my first couple sentences. The last one I'm only partially serious about.

Might do that later. Mix it with Rumchata for a cinnamon toast crunch.
PS I'm older than you and comfortable liking things even if the hipsters look down on it cause "kids" like it.
Stuff reminds me of red hots. Prob before your time.

What? Before my time? I'm early 40's and remember red hots. I'm not sure I know what hipsters like or don't like other than fair trade coffee and republicans. I didn't figure them into it anyway. It seems that flavored alcohols are for people who don't like that particular spirit. Maybe It's a gateway spirit.
I'm comfortable with my tastes as well and they are wide ranging in many areas. I'm just not a fan of cloying flavors.

Just reading that makes me want to vomit. I hate that stuff

Uh, it makes more girls (young, esp) willing to drink. I don't see why this is hard to understand

Fireball. Rumple Minze. Makes no difference. I only drink those to boost the drunkeness if someone else is buying.

Understand not being a fan.
The generalities that it's only kids that like the stuff and people's classification system of other peoplethat's silly.
The fact that Jimithing hates it tells me a lot.
I guess I'm half old guy hipster. Don't think about fair trade coffee but modern day democrats make me puke.
