PF Changs is now 0-4 in my book. I had the pleasure of being forced to go there last night for a friend's b-day. To say Nine Dragon on Burbank bends this place over and rapes it is an understatement.

My gf and i started with the steamed peking dumplings. 4 tiny dumplings were presented to us, they were cold, and i have had better at Nagoya and Nine Dragon. Much Better.

I got the asian slaw as a salad. it was just pre-packaged cole slaw mix with a dressing that tasted like wasabi. lame

i got the chang's spicy chicken, since my friend told me i like general tso's so much i would like this. the portion was small, the flavors weren't impressive, and it certainly wasn't spicy.

the gf got the beef with brocolli. the beef was real good, but i could have gotten triple the amount at another place, had it still taste great, and pay 1/3 of the price.

the bill came out to around $60. i have said it once and i mean it this time, i will NEVER go back to PF Chang's . Arguably the most over-rated restaurant in baton rouge.

i would like to nominate the one in Metairie as well. I am convinced that it is impossible to find a dish that has real flavor at PF Changs. Our office gets lunch from there once every few weeks. I tried ordering the Shanghai Street Noodles this time in a desperate attempt for flavor, b.c it said it was a curry dish. It was still boring, overly shiny, and non-descript.

I have had much worse food, but probably never more boring asian food.

couldn't agree more. when i think asian food i think big exploding flavors, like ginger and cilantro and such. chang's food has not flavor, no matter how exciting they make it sound on the menu

I would like to nominate Bravo!. Two entrees and an app. on our table. All sucked and the service was very slow.

Did you have one of the three-bite desserts afterward?

I agree. The food is inconsistent and over priced. Its nothing special that is for sure. Why anyone ever waits for a table there I will never understand, its surely not worth waiting, and sometimes the wait is like an hour long. unbelievable.

A new chinesse buffet just opened up on government called oriental pearl. It seems to be by far the best buffet if not hte best 'fast food' chinesse place in Baton Rouge. The food was great and fresh. The waitress was snapping the snap beans out of the wooden crate when we got there. No frozen stuff it seems. Check it out.

Anti-buffet snob here.

And Nine Dragon hasn't been the same for at least a year now. I think it has new owners.

I will have to agree with Zombie on this one, Nine Dragons is great especially for the price. For like $12 its pretty much 2 meals.

Also Cash, me and the gf ate at Bravo! on Friday and I didn't think it was that bad, I actually thought it was pretty good. I still think Ruffino's is better, but I would definately go back to Bravo!

I was there Friday night also. Don't know what the problem was but it wasn't good at all. It reminded me of hotel/conferance catered food. For similar money and style I much prefer Carraba's.

I agree Ruffino's is much better though. As is Diguilo's Bros and Little Village.

Cash, how long did you have to wait friday. They told us an hour and half, but we only waited maybe 35 mins.

I got some sorta lasagna dish, it was extremely hot and very tasty. I've heard mixed reviews about Carrabas......how is it? what do you recommend when i go?
