I found the coffee was never oily/old regardless of the time of day.

I like McDonald's coffee. Of course, I got started drinking coffee in the LSU cafeteria and moved on to the stuff they make in offices. I'm about the furthest thing from a coffee snob. I remember casually mentioning on Facebook about how I was running to McDonald's to get coffee one Sunday morning and friends jumping all over me, because I wasn't going to Highland Coffees or Garden District Coffee for a cup.

i'm a reformed coffee snob

i find mcdonalds to be the perfect "classic" cup of coffee and the fact i can get it while on a road trip anywhere in the USA at 3:30am.....bonus.

eta its either that or TAs sitting-all-night-in-carafes coffee and i find more often than not, mcds will brew up a fresh pot while i'm in the drive through.

McD's coffee and the sausage, egg, and cheese McGriddle FTW. Can only have the McGriddle every great once in awhile, but it's damn good.

McDonalds has better regular coffee than Starbucks. Its not even really close either.

Plus a large is only $1.75 after tax.

Their coffee is weak as hell. Their beans are probably fine, they just don't use enough.

Their sausage quality isn't very good. It's garbage compared to Hardee's or Whataburger. But their sausage biscuits do taste good. Not my first choice. But for a $1, they're fine.

The Sausage McMuffin without the egg is better imo.

Agree. Hardees is #1 for a breakfast biscuit closely followed by McDonald's

The coffee is fine. The biscuit is a grease bomb and the sausage sucks. It fast food though, so the grease is expected. I just can't believe people here actually think the sausage taste good.

I like my coffee with a kick. I use about 40-45 grams of whole bean, to make about 30 oz. But I never had a problem drinking coffee from 7-11 or Circle K. But McDonald's is just very weak and bland, but to each their own.

A freshly made biscuit isn't too greasy. But it's bad if it's at around at all. The only thing I can say is, it has a nostalgic quality to it. It's that way with all of their food. It's garbage quality, we know it, but we still occasionally go there.
