Does anybody have legitimate marinades you throw together that you all would like to share?
Ive been trying to experiment on my own but am willing to borrow anybody elses secrets.

Google Pioneer Woman's recipe for Pollo Asado. We use the marinade for legs and boneless thighs on the grill (her recipe calls for broiling in the oven) and it always comes out great. The meat is tender with a crispy outside and the marinade is not overpowering so you can use other spices/sauces as you see fit.

I'm partial to vietnamese style marinades, myself.
Sugar, dark soy sauce, regular soy sauce, fish sauce, neutral oil, minced shallot, minced garlic, minced chili.

I basically use the ingredients from Adam Gertler's Vietnamese chicken wing marinade. It's awesome.

honey mustard, sweet baby ray's, italian dressing, worchestershire, Leblanc's, black pepper, oregano, thyme, and rosemary
Sounds cliche terrible, but it's actually outstanding, especially on chicken thighs.
