I bought and tried some hemp hearts for the first time this weekend. I highly recommend them (Manitoba Farms). I used them on a salad I made for a Super Bowl party (the guys watched, I did the food) and they were a big hit.
If you haven't tried them, they taste would best be described as a really robust sunflower seed.

A decade ago one of the "best" as judged in some contests for flavor for pretzels was hemp seed pretzels. Hempzels Kinda like the bags of pretzels used for bar snacks and such.
Got me interested to do some research and it turns out hemp seeds are one of THE most nutritious and balanced dietary products available. All the Omega essentials in quantities greater than fish (plus no BP or Fukishima unwanted "additives"), dietary fiber, the proteins and carbs in a readily absorbable form, all kinds of goodness....and only trace amounts of cannabinoids. Can eat hemp seeds all day every day and pass drug screens unlike poppy seeds.
