I saw Costco has their own brand of beer.

Has anyone tried it and is it worth a shite?

It's $22 for a 48 pack. I hate to have 47 beers left over if it tastes like complete shite.

I have tried the case of assorted craft beers. They are perfect for a party, if the folks at the party are not super discriminating. I liked the beers that I tried - they weren't world class craft beers, but they were decent, given how much they costs.

I don't think you're going to waste 47 beers, but I don't think you're going to give up Ghost in the Machine for these, either...

He is talking about their light beer, not a variety pack.

Its in the natty light realm. Great for quantity but not for quality.

I haven't even see their light beer. I figured it wasn't the craft beer, because of the price, that's why I specified that in my post. I'm guess that some people who open this post may want to know about the variety pack, as well.

I think the craft beer variety pack is less than 20 bucks a case, so it is a great deal if you want to offer decent beer at a party, given that most comparable craft beer is 8-10 bucks for a sixer.

Yeah its pretty much natty light.

Pretty shitty to drink for yourself, but if you have a party and your people don't give it shite, go for it.

Yes and to simply put it. They are great to line the front of your beer fridge with when you have a bunch of friends over and they tend to not bring their own fkn beer. Tell them they are some quality beers and they won't know the damn difference. All the while, you get to drink some good crafts. That's how you win @ life son!

Bought some on a whim. Not good. I figured with the Kirkland brand name it would be on par with the major domestic light beers. Nope. More like Milwaukee's Best.

IIRC its made by some brewery I had never heard of in Wisconsin.

Just buy a half of keg of Natty Light. Seems like you'll be way ahead.

Brought a 48 pack to Dega last year. Very sweet, almost unbearably. Brewed by Minhas in Wisconsin I believe. I would avoid unless you are having a crawfish boil / bunch of people over that don't know any better.

I'll drink about anything and I didn't care for it. A one-time purchase for this guy.

I drink it and don't mind it at all. It's not the greatest beer ever, but it's certainly better than paying twice as much for Bud/Miller/Coors.

If you buy it and don't like it as others have said, give it away to others.

I'm going to go back to the variety packs. It's not top-notch craft beer, but it's a very good value.

The NOLA store carries La Fin du Monde. I love that beer.
