If you like Guinness and enjoy a good lager this is a good beer.

It has the dark color and nice bitter finish of the classic with the mouth feel of a lager.

Good alternative to a Pale Ale if you are not wanting so much citrus taste.

I should have tried this sooner.

Didn't think it was that great honestly. Would rather just a Guinness

Never tried the Guinness. Shiner has made a black lager for several years now and it's pretty good. Also had one called Kostritzer at the little German restaurant near our condo in Bluewater Bay (FL).
