Best bread pudding I've ever had
Ingredients:
One loaf of fresh French bread
6 egg yolks
2 cups of sugar
1 cup of milk
1 can condensed milk
1 large can Carnation milk
Pinch of Salt
Vanilla & Almond extract
Cinnamon
Raisins(optional)-soak 2-3 hours in warm water or rum /bourbon
1 stick of melted butter
Tear bread into pieces & soak in “about” 1 cup of milk in a large bowl
Mix all other ingredients together & pour over bread
Place in a greased 9X11 baking dish
Place dish in a larger baking dish with water in it
Bake at 350 for at least an hour-toothpick test in center
Sauce:
One can condensed milk
1/2 stick butter
Vanilla and Rum extracts
Cook till thickened-serve warm over pudding.
*Optional: you can make a meringue by whipping egg whites till stiff, add ¾ cup powdered sugar & one tsp of vanilla. Top pudding & return to oven & bake till slightly browned.

Posted this in a different thread around the holidays. It's my MIL's mom's recipe, and it's amazing:
