Georges or How I was hoodwinked into giving them my money for nothing again

I first went to Georges in the 1980s. I like hole in the wall burger joints filled with dudes I went to Jr High School with that have lawn services and load barges and hang drywall and talking about gym class in 8th grade and who had a nice rack in 1984.

But I went in there a year ago (Coursey/Jones Creek) and they royally screwed up my order. So I waited for them to get it right, which was accomplished right when everybody else in our party finished. No apology, no price adjustment, they just seemed annoyed.

So I went back again maybe three months ago. Pimp Jr orders a shrimp po-boy-they give him an catfish poboy. Strike two. Again, they don't give a shite.

I go back today and I want a bacon burger with no mustard. They hand me a burger. I take it back and ask them to add bacon. It takes over five minutes. The burger is cold. It's lathered in mustard. I hand it back to her and tell her look, you have had two shots at this, just charge me for my son's meal and I'll be on my way. The sweet girl behind the counter tells me proudly that's she's not going to charge me for my burger that I never got. I feel like I won the lottery. Awesome. $21 bucks for a po-boy and fries and a couple cokes. And headed home for leftovers.

I know that George's is full of loyalists, but I'm just not ever going back. Three times in a row. Georges has run it's course. Time to bulldoze that shite hole. They just don't give a frick.
