What did you like/not like?

Boucherie won with the 12 hour roast beef po boy.
Little Tokyo was pretty awesome too with the hibachi rice and yakatori.
Crescent Sausage & Pie was also balling!

$4 "cool" Abita's were a let down. Wish nola had a tent out there. Also El Gato Negro had some of the best sangria and margaritas I've ever had.

Thoughts? Complaints?

Having been to Hogs and FQF, I'd much rather drink Abita in a fest atmosphere. Purple Haze and Abita light goes down a lot smoother than the stout and red NOLA was serving.

Chicken drumsticks with some type of sugary thai sauce from Nola were good.

Couldn't pass up the steak and crazy potatoes from Crazy Johnies. Very good as well.

Aligator sausage poboy from barrecas was ok. Wasn't a big fan of it.

Fish Tacos from GW Fins were very good.

Got a bowl of Gumbo from someone but forgot who. It was ok.

All in all I left full and happy. I was only able to go for a few hours saturday morning becasue I had the kids. Only hit the food vendors by the river. Probably missed out on the best stuff though.

in the park next to the river. behind the big stage across from the aquirium. i never saw jacque mos tent.

on a funny side note, my friends ate a bbq shrimp po boy from the hard rock cafe. i laughed at them, who eats food from a shitty chain when there are all these awesome places serving up food?

maybe this is why everyone is saying the BBQ Shrimp sucked?

Dickie Brennan's was serving one as well in Jackson Square, it was awesome. Also, Jacque Imos was in the square as well.

Yea my bbq srimp poyboy was so-so also. I must have gotten the one from hard rock. Was it by the Abita stage? I think i though i was getting the one from Dickie Brennans. Now it makes sense why it wasn't that great

That was one of my favorite. I thought their bread was a lot better than Boucherie's also.

ETA: crawfish bread was damn good. We took some home on saturday night as everything was closing down. The folks there gave us 4 for 5 bucks so couldn't beat that. Nobody got sick either.
