Fortenberry's Sweet Heat Smoked Sausage

I wanted to share a gem a recently became aware of for the food board. Last Saturday, I stumbled upon Fortenberry's Meats out of Crossroads, MS while on a hunting trip. Fortenberry's is well known in these parts for their smoked sausage. A lot of deer hunters take their venison there for venison sausage. I ventured inside the market to see what I could find while another member in my party dropped a deer off for sausage processing.
While looking at their inventory, one of the workers came up to stock the cooler with fresh meats. I asked the gentleman what the best flavor sausage was. The guy pointed to the "Sweet Heat" flavor and replied : "This ones only been out a couple of months and they've been buying the hell out of it". He goes on to tell me that it had jalapeños, cheese, and pineapple chunks. I was somewhat skeptical because I'm particular to my sausage and decided to buy one pack of it to try that night at the camp.
All ten guys in camp that evening admitted that this was the best smoked sausage they had ever tried. We were all blown away at the incredible flavor of the sweetness and spice of it. I wanted to buy all they had on Sunday, but Fortenberry's is closed on Sunday. I was able to get my hands on more this past week and have cooked it for the last three days. To say this sausage is amazing doesn't do it justice.
I made breakfast burritos for the family this morning and decided to do one link for taste test purposes. Here is a view of the chunks of pineapple that make the flavor:

Damnnn. That sounds and looks incredible. Fruit goes surprisingly well in sausage. I had a chipotle cherry sausage a while back that was very good.
