This is much better than batch 1 to me, especially on the nose. EZ-7 may still be my favorite Brash beer, but this is close.

I did not get a chance to try PW batch 1, but I was very impressed with this batch. Like you said, the nose was fantastic.

NBD in the box at Petco-Karl Strauss Tower 10 IIPA. According to the concession guy their most popular beer. Meh. With several Ballast Point, Stone and Alesmith offerings, I think he played me. Decent, but more reliance on bittering the taste buds than flavor

We are getting blue pants now. Anything to look out for? They've got a peanut butter stout available that I'll probably grab.

No BDs for me today. The pinstripe stout and the variants are pretty good. Haven't had the PB version but if its anything like the others then it is worth a try. My buddy in Hoover is real big on Blue Pants. I'll see what he recommends.

It is really good, but not what you usually get in a BB aged stout. It is relatively light in weight and the bourbon component is very, very subtle. It has a lot going on and a smooth mouthfeel, but it is not really powerful.

NBD (not counting the comped BL swill in the box)

Mission Brewing Shipwreck IIPA. I like this one a bit better than the Karl Strauss, still not at a Port or Ballast Point level. As slowly as MLB games move, in a park full of high ABV beers, the 7th Inning Stretch might take on a whole new meaning.
