Just a quick teriyaki tenderloin. But good excuse to open a beer. How's the galaxy? I need to get some.

Without having them side by side and close in freshness, I don't know if I can pick a favorite between the 2. Although these DDH versions of Envie have incredible noses, I think I prefer the more full bodied juiciness of the regular Envie.

2BD is a Deep Ellum IPA.

F2BDs were Envies. 3BD is DDH with a beautiful sunset sky.

I agree. I feel like while juicy, the new regular Envie still also retains that hop "bite" (or nibble since it's a pale ale) that the DDH versions seem to not have.

Oh...and I'm having an Art Car. Didn't bother taking a picture.

Never had a Citra but the first batch of Galaxy was great. Any word on if there will be any other iterations or is this an indication of the dry hops they use in Envie?

Found this on their GR 2016 page talking about Bloom:
quote:

Citra, Amarillo, Simcoe, and LOTS of Nugget for the main hop profile. We've never used Nugget in our IPAs

2BD is a Mosaic freshie:

Agreed. I said that the day I tried the DDH Envie. Both are great beers, but regular Envie is more intense and resinous.

and i'm convinced Citra thing is completely subliminal because Zombie Dust changed my life forever many yrs ago
