FBD - Blind tasting test with 3 other guys at Belmont Station.

The first contender... All the way from South Louisiana, from Parish Brewing. It's Ghost in the Machiiiiiiine!

The next beer hails from that state of confusion to the south. It's Russian River's Pliny the Elllllldeeerrr!

And finally, the local sleeper. Boneyards own Hop Veeennnnnnoooommm!

Results later.

The results are in.

Best Nose:

1.) Ghost in the Machine
2.) Pliny the Elder
3.) Hop Venom

Taste:

1.) Hop Venom
2.) Pliny the Elder
3.) Ghost in the Machine

Results are pretty inconclusive, but because Hop Venom won rhe taste category unanimously, and we agreed that taste should be weighted more than smell, Hop Venom was dwclared the winner and GitM and Pliny were declared tied for second.

Good showing for GitM!

Cool side note. I let some folks who were not part of the test try the beer. One of them happened to be a guy who runs a company that tries to help small breweries become bigger and more profitable. He is very interested in Parish Brewing, now.

If anyone knows Andrew well enough to pass on a card to him, let me know....

Yeah we were taking an after dinner stroll. Almost stopped at The Bulldog, but I left my wallet. Rookie Mistake.

NBD - Stone Shocovayza Mocha Stout. Wow, great beer.
