I thought it was pretty straightforward IPA and didn't get any off-flavors. Need to try it again.

FBD is a wonderful old friend. Thanks to 4miles. I remember when I first had this from a bomber, years ago, at 4miles old house (RIP) for my first FBD bottle share. Mind was blown by the beer, and the people. Still true of both.

It wasn't off, just different--kinda like a Blue Pants IPA.

3BD is the Gone Away you gave me. This is incredible.

Socal posted some monkish from the source yesterday. Anyone have any experience on best time and day to visit? I am heading there in two weeks and wanted to try there and Firestone Walker. Thanks and if not I'll hit him up next time he posts here!

I've been there once, luckily it was a can release day. If you are there for a release, you need to get there asap after it is announced on social media. If it's a regular day and you are just going for draft, doesn't really matter when you get there.

Appreciate it! Do they do growler fills or is it just draft beer. Unfortunately I will be a good distance, so I migh just roll the dice.

They have growlers. Usually 2 IPAs on draft, one or both available for fills. If you see some cool glassware, get it. I love my monkish glass

ETA: Noble is a little further south, Anaheim I think. Another great place to check out if you can.

Just for the record, I was your upvoter. Don't know why that required a down vote, lol.
