Considering it's only a little after 9 AM where you are quaffing 3 BA beers, have an upvote. Drank almost an entire fifth of Jefferson's Special Reserve last night, FBD will have to wait until the crawfish boil later.

Forcing down a mic amberbock while finishing up a garage/attic purge. It baffles me how quickly "stuff" can build up. Oh and this beer still isn't good.

I'd do have these for later though.

They opened the brewery early today. The actual release is at 11:00.

I have to sit here for another hour and a half with this limited selection:

At least there's French toast...

Yes it does. FBD was a Breakfast Stout while working on a seafood gumbo and contemplating kicking off this thread. 2BD is one of the best Trilliums IMO, DDH Melcher. Today will be a day of many beers.

This is the first year they've done it this way. Instead of everyone standing in line outside, they opened the brewpub up and let everyone in to eat and drink while waiting for the release. We each got a number when we came in the door.

All breweries should do this.

You wouldn't happen to be interested putting some of those in mail in exchange for something from Houston, would you?

Depends how many people the taproom/bar can hold. Most places don't have the ability to put hundreds of people in one room hence the lines.

Seems like you still end up with a line at 8:30 to get the earliest number possible. It AL depends on the size of the place and number of people

I agree.

I am in San Antonio for a family event this afternoon. Once it is done I am heading to Weathered Souls Brewing for research.

There's maybe a hundred in here. Honestly, a lot of people got their number and left. They'll come back at 11:00.

ETA: This is a small brewery. Some of the beers are only guaranteed to the first 50 people. I'm number 52.

NBD - Joint Juice. This is the beer with hops, hop extract, and lupulin powder. This is fantastic.

Yo Kim, I'm going to SA for the first time in July. Please report back with a shortlist of beer spots I should be looking for. Anyone else please chime in.

Just heard a funny story. The owner/brewer of Logsdon Brewing was getting divorced last year, and it was a bitter separation. His wife wanted him to sell to Inbev and she would get half. Instead, he sold to Uptown Mmarket for 3 bucks, and handed her a check for $1.50 for her half of the sale. She got screwed, but it was the only way to save the brewery. Uptown later hired him back.

Logsdon makes good beer.
