I've been under the same impression and I suppose it could have been an issue of storage. Anyhow, I find the US is more tart and has clean aftertaste. Perhaps my imagination is getting the better of me..

Well, it's probably just variation between batches. It's a blended product where they try meet a certain balance of flavors each time from living lambics with varying character, so there's only so consistent they can make it. Not to mention the effect of the age of the bottle after re-fermentation.

Gotcha. I knew they were similar but just wasn't sure how similar. Guess I may have to try one. Stein's is the only place I have really seem them in NO.

Tilquin Gueuze and Drie Fonteinen Oude Gueuze are both great examples that he often carries. I'd start with one of those.

It was actually a kit and my first homebrew. Came out better than I thought it would. Actually it came out pretty good. Homebrewing was more involved than I thought it would be.

Outside of Bucky's. Nice. I freaking love The Grand. If only they'd step up their craft beer game. I do what you do and sneak my own beer poolside.

That is an improvement over BMC and Heineken.
