2009 Deschutes Abyss why would it sell for 70 bucks?

Because you can't buy them anymore without a time machine.

And time machines are fricking expensive.

I found a website that sells them and has a 2007 for 100 bucks....

beership.com

nevermind... shipping cost + packaging fee is absolutely ridiculous

Shipping for 6 bottles 45.85 + 14.99 packaging fee

Because it has aged?

Do you think they are making any more 2009 Abyss?

Aging helps, but consider supply.

well I am aware they no longer make it, however, I was just curious enough to wonder if it was worth that price tag for a 22oz bottle.

I've never had it or any other version so I have no idea

I got to taste a five year flight of The Abyss during the 2013 release. 2009 was the oldest one in the group. None of the 5 stood out as being that much better than the others - although I thinked I liked 2010 and 2011 the best. There were actually 6 beers in the flight, because it had 2013 and 2013 nitro. The Abyss on Nitro was awesome.

TBD - SoPro IPA. This 8/20 batch is decidedly different. Maybe I screwed up handling the cans or something. Way too malty.

Hey I'm doing a beer trade with a buddy from Nashville next week. The local beer scene has changed a bunch in Nashville since I left. Are there any particular local standout beers I should request?

Had a few more BDs at the beach this afternoon.

NBD is a Breakside Passionfruit Sour.

Damn good summer sour. Lots of tropical Passionfruit flavor and slight pucker on the finish. Very sessionable for a sour. Thanks Jax.
