Fist time at Conservatory, cool spot. It's happy hour, $4 KBS is on deck. Ryno is en route.

FBD is a Knee Deep Lupulin IPA.

That's usually uttered as a warning.

FBD is a Maharaja. Photobucket is acting up. Headed to the Box soon for free-flowing Envie.

I've always noticed your Envie/Box posts on the FBD's. Assuming you're in a suite, that's a pretty solid beer offering by LSU. Is it free in the suite and do they offer any other good (non-domestic) options?

FBD is a Pizza Port Jetty. Couldn't leave the West Coast without a few pallet wrecking hop bombs.

Coater - that place sounds good. Anyplace called the Barrel House has my blessing. Beer or whiskey - it's good. We're making a brewery crawl this weekend. It's going to be epic... We'll be watching The Masters from 10 different breweries...

I plan on bringing beers when I head up to Portland, are most places open to outside beers?

Make sure your least favorite ones are last. With that crew, you'll be getting permabanned from them.

It's pretty cool Jax. Bouncing around Portland watching the masters sounds like a great time. Hope to be back in the summer.

Most are. I don't think it should be a problem, but I haven't tried it at very many places. Some places, like ABV have a cappage fee, which could be 1 or 2 bucks, and your bartender/server will have to open it up. Sharing helps, too. That's a good ice-breaker is to share the beer with your bartender and immediate neighbors. Unless you're brinking Jockamo, in which case they may throw you out...

TLDR: Just ask the bartender if it's OK if you share a bottle of rare (to them) beer.
