Hey, I'm a poet,
And didn't think so...

FBDs are Notorious and Double Jack.

Notorious easily the better of the two for me. The flavor is off the charts. You catch a little alcohol burn, but at 12% ABV, its hardly noticeable.

Nope. Can't get it in a growler in Portland, either...

NBD - Double Mountain Killer Green Fresh Hop IPA.

Fresh Hop beers tend to be a little more mellow, but after the triple-double IPA combo I just had, even more so...

SBD Shipyard pumpkinhead. Actually pretty good. More in the pumpkin spice category than pumpkin sweetness.

So you're in Maine, now? I guess you didn't find any Maine Brewing stuff, huh?

Nah, only time I stopped either travelling or working this week was in New Brunswick last night. I planned on poking around Maine when I got in Tuesday, but flight delays killed the dream.

TBD another pumpkinhead. Wheels up in hopefully 50 minutes. Then it's the always reliable ORD to IAH.

Has anyone tried the lazy magnolia old money? Grabbed a bottled today, and after reading a little about it everyone says its a sour stout but I'm not sure if it's supposed to be?

FBD - crab boil blonde

This is nice. First time it touches your mouth it really tastes like the juices of a crawfish head. Back end is just a meh blonde taste as expected though.

This just does not sound like a taste I would want in a beer. I'd like to try that.

If they bottle that stuff, they could come up with some cool labels, too...

i've tried it on draft. it was not my thing. i didn't get much sour (as in a good sour). it had a forced bourbon flavor that seemed out of place. don't mean to make you have preconceived notions before trying it. check it out and let me know what you think. i grabbed a couple single bottles. i'll check them out at some point but will likely let them age. probably would help.

IMO you'll either like it or hate it. I wouldn't wanna drink it on the reg because it's still a blonde beer. But the front end is wonderful.
