2-3 parts Maple syrup
1 part Dijon mustard
red pepper flakes
Mix in a bowl and spread over bacon and bake on a wire rack.
I spread the bacon on the rack so there are no gaps between slices and you can really smear the stuff all over it. It makes an awesome crust. You can also flip 1/2 way and coat the back if you want but you don't need to flip the bacon using a rack in the oven.
Toss Aluminum foil between the rack and cookie pan for easy clean up. Enjoy!

what exactly is a "part"?

a part depends on how much you are making, so if you are making a little bacon its less than if you make a lot, for example:
if a part equals a tablespoon it would be 2-3 TBSP syrup and 1 TSBP mustard, if you are making a shitload it might be 2-3 Cups syrup and 1 cup mustard, ya dig?

the "might be" is what i don't understand when it comes to using a "part". a cup is a cup. a tbsp is a tbsp. etc.........

It just allows the cook to scale the recipe to the size of the meal he is cooking. For a pack of bacon you are probably going to be in the tablespoon range.
Honestly I don't measure anything, I just do 2/3rds syrup and 1/3 mustard, then pepper by eye

It's about exactly two smears or a scant pinch.
