Buster's Place (Oyster Bar). Their fried oyster po'boy was one of the best I've ever had.

Yujin (I think) for sushi is great as well.

Babaganoush for Greek/Lebanese is also solid for lunch, but is much better as drunk food at 2 in the morning.

I've never eaten anywhere in downtown Covington.
I'd go for Chimes however. Bear's pissed me off with the horrid and unkept facility and by taking cash only. I've eaten Bear's in Mandeville, BR, and Slidell, but after the first visit to the Covington location I will never give them another dollar ever.
