The J Clyde is having a tap party Weds night for the Bham folks. I also spoke to the bartender at Parkside who said they were getting a keg of 60 Min IPA delivered Weds as well.

I live in Alabama and meh.

This would have been a HUGE deal about 5 years ago.

I sort of feel the same way when it gets down to LA.

So many better NE IPAs out there now.

Yep. Dogfish head would have been nice to have on shelves about 5 years ago, but there are so many good IPAs around now that this will just get lost in the shuffle and become shelf turds

I've had 60 and 90 and it's just meh. I've got a 90 sitting in my refrigerator next to some sculpin and I keep reaching for the local IPAs instead.

If they get 90 minute or 120 minute people will buy it for quality + ABV.

I don't know what your options are but here in Louisiana there are much better offerings from the Louisiana and Mississippi breweries.

The list is too long. I'll just name one that I bought today at the grocery store: founders all day IPA

Several others I find better that are readily available though.

Bells Two Hearted for sure. Honestly, I'd rather grab some fresh Monkeynaut than Dogfish Head.

Bell's THA
Founders Centennial
Founders Mosaic Promise
Founders Azacca IPA
Green Flash has a number of IPAs that are better
Lagunitas Hop Stoopid
Oskar Blues IPA

Those are all beers that readily appear at your average grocery store in Louisiana and, when fresh, are better than Dogfish Head in my opinion. They are also in Alabama. Obviously when fresh is a huge caveat; I don't know how good Publix is about their ordering in order that things don't shelfturd away too badly.

I don't think I've ever had a great DFH beer.

I personally thin there Apricot IPA is their best offering. My wife and I are going to J Clyde tomorrow night. Trying to decide if we eat Ethiopian first or just eat at J Clyde.

Bells 2hearted is legit. I hate monkeynaut. I'll keep on eye onsome of the other recs all I've ever had besides bells is the green flash offerings which I liked but not noticeably more than dogfishhead. Some of dogfishheads offerings are crap imo but the 60/90/120 are among the best there is.

DFH dark beers are very overlooked. India Brown Ale is a great beer, and thier stouts are very good as well. The IPAs have a more classic profile and not as tropical so they have fallen behing the competition in that area. I still enjoy a 90 min every now and then though.

Bought some singles yesterday to try because it had been a while. The 90 minute was a malt bomb. Would not buy again.

Correct.

Agree.

Distribution expansion in general is great, but Dogfish is nothing to get excited about.
