Does the beer menu influence where you eat?

For me personally it does a lot of times. Unless I am looking for something specific I tend to check beermenus.com to see what is on top around Baton Rouge. There are times I go to certain restaurants even though I know the beer menu sucks (Beausoleil, Little Village, Bistro Byronz, Oliver or Twist, etc) but mostly I use beer menu to look for a place to eat.

I look at at it like a standardized test. You don't get penalized for wrong answers, just like you won't keep me away with bad beer. On the other hand, a good beer list can only help you.

I'm not satisfied unless there is good beer and good food. And for me, great beer + good food > shitty beer + great food

Rarely. I would choose a bar based on beer menu, but I'm usually ordering cocktails or wine to go with meals.

Without a doubt. Fortunately, a good IPA is almost mandatory at most restaurants here.

Not in the slightest. If I don't like the beer then I'll do wine or liquor.

i mean shite they have i think 8 taps. they make very good use of them though.

i treat them more as a mixed drink bar instead of a beer bar. and i never think of them as dinner first(gf does though but she doesnt count)

I second all of this

An aside--has anyone thought Bistro on Gov't. has fallen off? Went last week and was sorely disappointed. Very slow service (it was maybe 25% full at 8pm on a Thursday), waiter didn't know which beers were on tap, dad settled on some new Nola beer that I can't remember and they charged him $7 for a 12 oz., and the food was subpar

We go for brunch a good bit... I so I include them. I mean obviously that is for the bottomless craft margaritas for the female but I usually drink the beer.

And That doesn't even include trying to pick and pair an entrè with a limited beer menu
