Considering buying a 225Eats for Doe's. Lets say porterhouse dinners for 2 people. What would I be looking at for a bill? No alcohol either

Porterhouse comes with good fries and a bad salad for $22/pound. Last time I went, they had porterhouses in 1.5, 2 and 2.5 pound sizes. The larger ones are obviously for splitting.

Also be aware that the smallest porterhouse is a pound and a half (I think. It might be 2). Also, i think they buy meat daily and only keep a limited amount on hand. Every time I've been, there's been at least one cut of steak that had sold out of its smallest size, so you either had to get a bigger steak or switch cuts.

This is how I ended up eating a 2.5 pound porterhouse.

EDIT: Figure about 85 bucks for two steaks, two soft drinks, and 20% tip. The steaks alone will be a minimum of 3 pounds for $66, 5 bucks or so for the drinks, 15 or so for the tip.

You're much better off splitting one of the big steaks there fwiw.

That's what the menu designed for. Chances are your wife won't be eating a 24 ounce porterhouse. A 2 or 2.5 pound porterhouse with a mound of fries will be more than enough for y'all.

From what I hear, they won't think you're frugal for it. It's what most people do there.

Plus, I doubt your girl wants to eat a 2lb steak alone
