good stuff. It was my first experience with fried chicken back in 1977. I always stop on my way back from Grand Isle.

A friend of mine ran the one on Airline Highway around where Shakey's Pizza used to be while we were in high school. Man that was some good stuff.

i guess to people who are not from there, its all the same place. cant forget about the beautful town of berwick though. the one on 90 in patterson is closed down. there is another one in morgan city itself that is still in operation.

Man...what a bummer. I was born in Morgan City and lived in Patterson and going to that place on Friday evenings as a kid is a lasting memory to me for some reason.

I usually get the split wings tailgating box with a pint of danny's sauce. MONEY for game days.

Danny's is/was the BEST. There was one in Franklinton (Washington Parish) for years, but it closed a few months ago. Excellent chicken. Good, dark crust.

have eaten at that one many times.

20 years ago, I use to get 2piece dark w/ fries and roll for $1.99 at the one in Ponchatoula.

At our family reunions (usually at the fairground) there was a ton of homemade food--but I would look for the Danny's box! There was always at least one.
