Very large sushi list. Forgot which rolls we ordered but they were all good. Also had some sashimi jack which was very good. They had a special of Blue fin tuna under a smokey glass bowl which I wish we would have ordered.

Its one of the best sushi places in the NOLA metro area. Very high quality.

The menu is fricking huge. Overwhelming to be honest.

The Toro special is very good but overpriced.

The Cowboy roll is legit. I can't remember the names of a lot of things there but its all pretty good.

Don't even pay attention to the roll list. It's massive, as someone else has said.

Take the little iPad and go directly to the features. They will have several different types of Japanese fish that you can't get anywhere else in the area. They also have other Japanese specialties, like A5 beef (although this is becoming more commonplace to find it seems).

Again, I wouldn't even bother to drudge through the rolls list.

I usually go to Kanno. Do you guys think Daiwa is better? I might have to give it a visit soon.

This. If you somewhat like sashimi then Daiwa is by far the best anywhere around here.

Daiwa is very good. In particular pre-Covid, they were getting fish flown in that no one else in the area was getting.

Not sure if they are right now.

I didn't think about it until it was almost too late but this is the cold smoked blue fin tuna belly app.

ETA: Got it to work now

That's it. The people next to us were moaning as they were eating it (in a good way)

It was the best fish dish of the night.

On my trip, I had that dish, the Ora King Salmon Tartare, a Japanese Striped Bass and some A5.
