Someone gave me a cucuzza, an italian squash as best I can tell. Anyone ever cook these up? If so, any suggestions?

All I've tried is dicing it in about 1/4" size and sautéing in olive oil, butter, Italian sausage and garlic. I added dry Italian seasonings once soft. Serve it over pasta with Parmesan added. It's pretty good.

Cook it as you would zucchini, as it is very similar. My grandparents called it "cagoots".

Gagoots. You gotta peel it. Cook it down in olive oil with onions and tomatoes.
