I always always always avoid Louisiana restaurants that are not in Louisiana!
I've been to 41 states and it seems to be the case no mater where you go.

I'm going to ignore whatever that nonsense is and hope that you can recommend better restaurants. I'll be up there for a wedding in the fall.

Nope, I have never tried it. Let me tell yall, the local restaurants in the Richmond, VA are awful! The seafood here is basically Maryland style battered crap aka Captain Ds quality for 5 times the price. I have given up on finding something decent and my wife who is from here will not move to Louisiana.
