Crawfish propane burner

I have a 120 gt pot with a double jet cajun classic iron burner with steel coil. I usually cook 1 sack at a time. Yesterday it took me roughly 1 full propane tank to cook both sacks separately.
Am I burning too much propane when trying to get the pot hot and during the boil?
My burner kept cutting off on me as well. Could this be due to having too much of the gas on?
I always have an icy tank at the end but that is usual.
Was thinking of switching over to a stainless steel burner since it will last longer but was wondering if anybody had any better experiences with a rubber hose?
TIA

Not sure it really matters in regards to your propane usage, but make sure your regulator is the right size for the burner. I've seen that cause problems recently for friends.

I have the same burner with a bigger regulator, the small tanks will freeze. I use a bigger tank and dont notice the problem.

Gotcha. Where can you get the bigger tanks? TIA

I never use the regulator that comes with the burner. They usually have a preset psi that is too low for what you need. You can buy a 0-60 psi one at most hardware or outdoor cooking stores. I also have a longer rubber hose, 8' or 10'.
I would go through about 3/4 of the propane tank for each boil with my 120 qt pot. I recently bought a 40 lb propane tank and so I can get 2 boils out of 1 tank. Bought it online at Lowe's for a store pickup. Cost $80.
Regulator looks something like this:
