n the pregame show the white house made their own beer, even had their own labels. Craft beers are growing fast, to fast for AB it seems.
I saw that wanted to check untppd to see if any elected officials were checking in

If anything, I'd say the ad was one hell of a nod to how far craft beers have come. They should be celebrating.
The whining is really something.
Just cruised the fbd thread. Good grief. Y'all seem pretty cool til someone hurts your feelings.

That is a lot of words for a typical Budwieser drinker.

I missed the commercial bit why should anyone be mad? I don't own any breweries craft or BMC...don't make me no nevermind.

I don't think anyone was persueded into drinking a double IPA because of a commercial.

Huh? Budweiser is the one that seems mad (based on that commercial).

Craft brewers talk shite about BMC all the time. Bud takes a little swipe at them, and some of them get all offended. Funny.
Nobody is going to put down their IPA and switch to Bud because of this commercial. Bud is just trying to hold on to some of their diminishing customer base by telling them they can drink Bud and still be cool.

But without you being mad the BMC drinkers have nothing to substantiate their mockery. Get offended! So losers with zero taste and zero pocket book will have less cognitive dissonance about being left out of the ever evolving cocktail culture.

You're actually posting this about yourself?

You know that Bud technically makes some of the beers they took a "swipe" at?

Have you read the reactions? Look around.

I'm with you Bottomland. I drive the Jeep and I lose three inches.
Hell, I am branded queer because of where I live and getting a haircut on Magazine. My beer is just extra ammo for them.

So they're targeting consumers who drink a specific beer because they think it makes them look cool. Sounds like the worst of what craft beer drinkers get accused of.
When it comes down to it.. whether you're trying too hard to be a hipster or trying too hard to be a good ol' boy, you're still trying too hard. Drink what you want and let the busybody frontrunners worry about who's winning the popularity contest amongst their demographic subset.

Funny commercial and as a craft beer drinker I'm not the least bit offended by it. Sometimes you need to laugh at yourself. Most of the BMC drinkers I know will often times ask me about what I'm drinking and I'll give them a bottle or can to try and they'll end up enjoying it.

This is what I have found. They usually drink it, but don't ask for seconds.
Creme Brulee was the only one that really turned some people off. Can't say I blame them.

I was in Ohio last year and turned some people on to Bells Two Hearted Ale. Next thing I know the summbitches cleaned out my cooler

I'm a craft beer maven, and I thought the ad was fine. Some Facebook friends were upset. But that's about the only card Bud can play -- make fun of hipsters and craft beer nerds.

This, I can agree with, although your previous posts wouldn't have suggested this point of view. People should relax, and enjoy what they like. WGAS?

Goose Island
According to some, this isn't craft. (Unless it is convenient for the argument).
It's funny that people want to go the "small business" route when it comes to craft beer, but Goose, Terrapin, Sweetwater, Sierra Nevada aren't small businesses anymore.
They may not have Superbowl ad money, but they are still very large businesses.
