well an owner/employer probably knows the stuff in back that can be sold. I've gone to Chimes East several times and made friends with bartenders who have sold me stuff from backstock that isn't on beermenus such as BCBS.

And so because you post on TD you're going to magically have that privilege with this individual? Normally that's a relationship that develops with time. But what do I know, I just drink beer.

You should start a blog.

Fine, but that was really rude. You seem to have a skewed understanding of how this system works. You did those places a solid so they threw you a bone, cool. So...what did you do for this establishment to warrant you receiving special treatment? Furthermore, it's just a breach in etiquette. You don't ASK for privilege, it's GRANTED. That's like asking a bartender for a free drink. You might get it, but you're also tanking any good will you've generated there.
Relax, show patience, be a good patron, and good things will come to you. I'm not trying to be a dick, but that just reflects poorly on all of us.

I heard a similar story about Dan Stein, one customer who had some out-of-state beers, and early BCBS purchasing.

WHOOOOOO [Rick Flair Style]
Yep, regulars get the inside scoop. If I knew who you were, or you had emailed me privately I might have given a more detailed response. Instead I invite you to stop by, have a beer with us, and chat up a bartender. They usually have a pretty good knowledge of what I've got hidden and might clue you in.

I would just like to know anything special on tap vs what beermenus shows or if anything special in the back vs what beermenus shows. I also asked whodomatt who hasn't responded back since he posted he was their.
If I go and the tap list is "meh" but they have stuff in the back I would probably report back that the place is "meh" which would be a negative review. If they have special stuff in the back and the rest of menu is "meh" I am going to report back that the place has potential and right now it is just growing.

Yes, we have stuff in the back.

I would have e-mailed but no e-mail address had been posted.... I plan on going tomorrow to try the place out and see since I enjoy the Cove.

Those of you who know my email now know who's responding But no worries, come on by whenever. Introduce yourself and we'll get on like only beer aficionados can.

Yes, he has stuff in the back. No, I won't tell you what it is. Yes, I will be there when he taps it. Enough said.

People who don't live within 30 minutes need updated beermenus.... well I do since they determine where I eat lunch/drink in BR 90% of the time....
Posted on 12/26/14 at 6:29 pm to tduecen
But it's beermenus, not HiddenShitFromTheBackMenus
Posted on 12/26/14 at 6:32 pm to Matisyeezy
That is what is "on deck" is for.....
which they do not have yet.... although they have a decent selection of Abita and Tin Roof products according to beermenus
Plus 110 taps but only 30 on beermenus... we need to know more
