Connemara and Greenore Irish whiskey- st paddys day

Figured since its St Paddys day I could give a small review of a couple products I recently had the privilege of tasting. For those looking for a non Jameson or bushmills today these two products were great.
Greenore: 8 year single grain whiskey, sweet sugary and caramel notes with nice clean palate. Whiskey neat or on the rocks might not be what you are looking for this early in the day but it really was a nice, simple and smooth whiskey,
Connemara: peated Irish whiskey, Irish whiskey with an identity crisis possibly. I'm all into Islay malts and thoroughly enjoy the smell of smoke, iodine, and sea salt. This whiskey approaches with some of those flavors, however on the palate the finish is much grainier and the peat essence doesn't linger all the way through the finish. Not a bad adjustment for a scotch drinker on this day of celebration.
