Picked this from the 504 Craft Beer Reserve in NOLA. Brooklyn's take on an old fashion beer. Beer has been aged in whistling pig rye barrels with spices that you might find in an old fashion.

Price: 20 bucks
Appearance: pours amber in color with medium head
Taste: hints of cherry, orange and coconut

I've had other rye beers and they seem to have coconut finish to them.

Started by chilling it in the fridge. Initially, I found the bitters to be over powering, but as it warmed up to be in the 60s the bitters when away and allowed the bourbon to shine.

Pretty good beer imho

Going to review abita bourbon st series next
