I guess when I said fresh, I meant non-iqf. I generally buy direct off the boat when I'm coming back from fishing and rarely have issue with those. When I'm in a pinch and buy from a local market, I find they are generally sticky.

I've never had issues with fresh shrimp sticking. I do know a few days old shrimp stored in ice will peel easier in shrimp peeling machines than day caught shrimp.

I always have issues with iqf (which is what you get at most markets year round) sticking and I've tried everything. I can get them descent to peel but no where what I can get with fresh shrimp.
