Never done this before. What is the process?

Do I just bring them to a boil then soak like crawfish or shrimp?

I appreciate the help?

Live blue crab, bring water to boil, add crabs, boil about 10 minutes and soak half an hour.

Alaskan king or snow crab is already fully cooked, just let them soak in hot water for a minute or two

Frozen Alaskan crabs from the store are usually cooked, just heat up

Crabs I usually just bring to a boil and then let soak. Can't remember how long though

Both the species I refer too are alive and well

Hong Kong Market in DFW. I know I know they're asian crab(but not so), but I can buy Cafe Du Monde coffee in there as well as live Louisiana crawfish for 2.49/lb

This place is absolutely amazing.

So I'm speaking of live species of both

How do I boil them. Thanks

If you boil for 10 minutes they will be mushy and way over cooked....

I like to soak them in crab boil when defrosting. Warm them in the seasoned water.
