If I was going with a group of people and I got the wings, but someone from the group wanted the BBQ would they be disappointed with the food? Is it sub par or just not as good as the joint?

the Joint and Hillbilly used to be 1 and 1A to me. Hillbilly has fallen way off. I think their quality of meat has gone down. The care for the cooking just isn't there anymore. They were also having trouble with business from what i heard. Their location is just plain bad and always has been.

If it's a group of people I wouldn't even mess w blue oak. Not the ideal setup and the proprietor of Chickie is a dick
I think a group would enjoy the joint more. More adequate space, good BBQ and a nice variety of offerings. Atmosphere and neighborhood is kind of cool for out of towners too

I really hope Blue Oak moves soon, but stays in Mid City. And that they start making blue cheese. I can't stand that tool who owns Chickie Wah Wah.

Went to try smokehouse for the first time last week. At noon they had a 15 top just sitting in there shooting the shite with no other tables available. Ended up just leaving after waiting awhile. Sucks it's located in such a small space and that group didn't seem concerned with allowing the guy to flip some tables to do more business
