Black water/liquid in head-on shrimp bag?

I bought some raw head-on shrimp Friday and left them in the refrigerator until 10 minutes ago in order to boil them. Some of the shells have darkened along the edges and there is a black liquid at the bottom of the plastic bag they were in. They smell fine. They're still safe to boil, right?

Yes the fine. They turn black because they were previously frozen.
