Ah yes, POETS. Prime date-restaurant for awkward high school kids in 1970's Jackson. Did the name really stand for Piss On Everything Tomorrow is Saturday (supposedly after some problem getting a Friday's franchise)? And where was the one here in BR?

Yeah that was the acronymn for the restaurant, the BR location was on College Drive at the area that now is the Wal Mart. Thursdays (pay day for plant workers) was a cast iron bitch for the staff. I had the pleasure of shutting down the entire restaurant with a blood curdling scream with two gallons of hot soup down the crotch one night.

The Fajita Seasoning is great too, but you have to get the original version...great on cheaper steaks

ketchup on red meat is for children or shitty cuts of meat.

I don't care for Dale's. Too salty for my liking

I like to mix a couple of shakes of Montreal Steak Seasoning in with my salt and cracked pepper. I don't do it all the time, but if used in moderation it adds a nice flavor without overpowering the meat IMO

Why is this such a gourmet faux pas? You must be one of those fancy A-1 snobs.

salt
pepper
garlic powder
if you are adding anything else, you're doing it wrong
