Been 3 years since I've had a king cake, and one of my roommates is from Minnesota and she's a Vikings fan...and we're throwing a viewing party at our house...
asking my brother to ship some king cakes for this week, and don't want to make him drive to NOLA to get me Randazzos
where are the best places in Baton Rouge for king cakes?

Ambrosia Bakery on Siegen has some pretty good king cakes

I lived in Phoenix a while back, and we had a going away party in January. My mom had sent me a king cake, and my then gf who flew in to drive back with me brought two with her. We put them out on the counter for the party, but no one touched them. Nobody knew what they were, and people seemed almost scared of them. I finally started cutting pieces and making people eat some. I don't think they lasted 10 minutes after that.

I have to keep them hidden in my drawer when I bring them to work. We have a chick I call the cookie monster, you can sniff out a pastry from over 100 yards away.

On Essen, right next to Red Stick Sports.
Seriously, they EASILY have the best in Baton Rouge.
Check it out.
