Best fried chicken in Hammond, La.....Where?

Ardillo's Restaurant in Amite shut down today. All of their food was always good. To me, they had the best fried chicken and fresh cut french fries. It reminded me of the fried chicken we would get when I was a kid and chicken was cooked to order. There is no place in Independence so where is the best place in Hammond or around Hammond that cooks good fried chicken and possibly has real, not frozen, french fries?

Ponchartrain poboys in mandeville and Dechristina's in Covington are the only places ok now about.
