A brewery here in Oregon is going to start canning some of their beers. The head brewer has asked his customers what size and what type of opening they like best.
If you were you, which size can/opening would you choose?

I think he's leaning towards those 16 oz ones. He's contemplating what type of mouth to use, though.

Depends on the style of beer.
I like pale ales and single IPAs in 12 oz six packs.
Package bigger beer like DIPAs and stouts in the 16 oz four pack.

Same here. I drink out of the can at the pool, beach, golf course pretty often and pale ales or IPAs is 16 oz cans end up hot by the time I get to the bottom 1/4th. Agreed 12 oz cans are better for that style. Big beers that get better as they warm up anyways 16 oz would be fine by me.

There's a reason not many people use those kinds of tops anymore. Cut feet and litter

This is going to be an IPA. I don't know if they will go with the style where the entire top comes off, but they might go with some sort of wide mouth tab.

If the mountains don't turn blue when super cold I'm not interested.

I also attempted to slice my fingers open on the edge of the removable lid with (thankfully) no success. It’s blunted enough to keep your soft parts safe, even when you apply a good deal of force. It’s hard to see the lid posing any kind of threat, even when left behind by litterbugs.
