Beer in Tiger Stadium...Terrible Options

We sat in the South Stadium Club this past weekend, and the beer options were awful. I get bud light is just handing beer away to anyone that takes it, but it's pathetic. The only options up there was Bud Light and Michelob Ultra. There were better options last year, in general seating, with Paradise park, and 1 or 2 others.
And then outside the stadium, the only options were bud, mich ultra, and Stella Artois. I don't understand why that stadium does not invest in local beer.

Pretty simple, local beer aren’t official sponsors of LSU football.

Because they invest in the local distrubitor which has been paying them, sponsoring them, and supporting them for decades. LSU is aligned with the large local corporate (distributor) and it helps LSU pay to win.

Core Brewing
Really enjoyed being able to get locally brewed beers in the stadium at Fayetteville. I'm amazed that Tiger Stadium doesn't do the same thing.

You need a certain dictator to post up at the bar and force their hand
They have good beer at the box through intimidation

Same local distributor handles Parish, Gnarly Barley, Tin Roof, Rally Cap, Etc. They could have a couple of local options.

I would have sworn I drank some tin roof beers in Tiger Stadium last year. They definitely have a few local options at basketball and baseball games. Maybe I was looking in the wrong place Saturday.

I have no doubt they are not leaving money on the table by not having local beer.

No Samuel Adams? Yeah, that’s not a great beer selection.

I was in Tiger Stadium this weekend and drank, Miller lite and Tin Roof Blonde. They had other options besides BL and MU. Did you explore multiple kiosks?

I'm torn on this.
On one hand your selection is generally small. On the other hand your beers are cheap for stadium prices.
Go buy a beer from Petco Park and you'll have a better selection than most bars in Baton Rouge, but you'll pay $20+ for it

They have craft beer shops all over the stadium, now. They’re extortionately expensive, but they’re there.

Higher profit margins on Bud Light than buying good beer. You can go through a Bud Light every quarter and be fine. I can't imagine wanting anything like a craft beer through every quarter.
Besides that, you don't need a whole lot of beer options, especially for a university football match. Most 21 year olds will drink cheap light beer already.
Fill your bellies and get your buzz in before you go to the stadium.

Mockler distributes Tin Roof, Gnarley Barley, and Parish, plus numerous other non-local brands.
