I thought they were shooting for a late fall opening.

The owners would have been kicking themselves if we beat bama and they weren't open. They missed out on enough after the Ole Miss game

Hopefully they can establish a better crowd than the one in New Orleans.

They don't care about looking like Jersey Shore. They did a few million in sales last year.

They should be! I would have paid overtime to get that place ready for this football season.

They had a menu for it in the 225 Menu Guide that came out last week. But the building is still a mess -- we passed by Friday night.
I would guess they'll be open sometime in January, around the time the spring semester starts.

the owners of this are idiotic to not have had this place open for football season. construction has been moving at a snail's pace.

However, your two biggest home games are going to be Ole Miss and Bama which is not happening next year

It is just stupid they missed out on the revenue

That area should be so much more than it is now.

They really screwed up the development of the old shopping center on State in not focusing everything on the street.

It saddens me every time I go around there to think how it could compare to other college entertainment type strip areas, but BR just let it do otherwise.

Ah, they'll get the revenue from the Auburn and Florida games next season. Those should be pretty good: Auburn with the revenge factor and Florida with a new coach.

yeah I remember when it was first announced they seemed to be aiming for September and it seems to keep getting pushed back. Maybe they encountered more problems with the building than anticipated

First it was July then it got pushed back to early fall. Weird that they aren't open.

To me, it screams of permitting issues. Liquor licenses in BR are very political as are building permits and inspections for bars and restaurants. BR has a lot of "Well are you a bar or a restaurant?" with their requirements. I think several politically connected bar/restaurant owners (Delgado and Smokey) don't want them open and are doing everything possible to slow them down.

Couldn't agree more. They would have brought in so much revenue with it being new and football season. If they open in January and it turns out to suck (I hope not, but just saying), then they won't make the same amount of revenue next football season as they would have if it was open this football season.

No you don't

They're garbage outside of the Florida location.
