Anybody know what seasoning Randy Montalbano's uses for their crawfish boil?

To me they're the best tasting crawfish I have come across, anywhere.

It comes from a bag.

It is mediocre at best.

I agree. Look at my posts in crawfish boil threads. That's their recipe (just didn't want to post it directly in this thread.) It's so simple while the rest of this board makes it complicated.

most crawfish places in Breaux Bridge (crawfish capital of the world) only use cayenne pepper and butter in their water.

Simple is better sometimes I guess.

Yes.

But completely changing the way crawfish taste by omitting the bay and celery isn't one of them.

I put a considerable amount of fresh stuff in my boil. We eat it, and it makes everything better.

Used your 1 bag of LA, bottle of Zats with the other normal ingredients...

Crawfish were a hit!

I typically have always used pro boil

Randy will cook veggies (celery, onions, lemons, garlic) in his crawfish if you ask him at a catering event. They just don't use that stuff on a mass level in everyday operations.

Their seasoning is good enough to stand on its own for retail purposes as shown by the comments in this thread.

Just because they call themselves that doesn't make them the crawfish cooking capital of the world.

Randy used to hunt with us, I just don't see the fascination.

He puts out damn good crawfish. However, I've never been "fascinated" by anyone's crawfish other than my own.
