Showed up right before the results were announced, my buddy cooked on the burner division. He went and asked for some feedback afterwards and one of the judges told him it wasn't really a serious competition, that the judging process was very loose and they didn't even have a rubric or rank anybody past 3rd place.

That's pretty typical of any contest except outside of Jambalaya Festival, in fact the JFA just recently started publicizing the rankings.

I mean we just cooked as a practice for the festival, I don't give a shite about some little VFW plaque.
