Trimbach makes several great dry rieslings - but some are very pricey (except for the OT ballers).

rieslings fall on along a spectrum that runs from very sweet to very dry. i don't like the sweet ones but there are a lot of really good rieslings that fall on the dry end.

This. Not all Rieslings are sweet.

Chateau St. Michelle is a pretty common one by the glass at restaurants. I had one I really liked at Pappas Bros. in Dallas. I wonder if they have their wine list on their website

eta: they do have their wine list on their website! Riesling, Leitz “OUT” 2009 Rheingau

i got turned on to a dry riesling not too long ago but i swear i don't remember the name. the dry ones are not too sweet and are great on a warm night. cava is a great spanish sparkling wine that is also great on a warm night. they're not too expensive either.

If you like Riesling, then try the Torrentes grape from Argentina. Great stuff.

Pretty easy way to tell if a Riesling is sweet or dry is to look at the alcohol content on the label. The higher the %, the dryer the Riesling. This will not tell you if the wine is good or not, but it will be a good indication for whether you want a dry or sweet Riesling. And I second the Austrian white wines.
