Julie Anne's makes a good brioche style with a nice airy icing. When you get them fresh they are very good. Whisk Dessert bar is collaborating with Sweet Pea Bakery and her (the Sweet Pea baker) cream cheese king cake is truly exceptional. I think they also sell those at Maxwell's. Both of those places are in South Highlands. You can get Nona Randazzo's at either Bergeron's or Cush's. Not a fan of Lilah's - maybe I've just been unlucky, but every one I've ever had from Lilah's was dry bordering on stale.

Lowder King Cakes are great, too, but my favorite is Julie Anne’s.

For the love of God, not Tubb’s
