Alton Brown "Eat Your Science" Tour: anyone going tonight?

I am taking my 9yo (who loves AB and science) and wife tonight. I have no idea what to expect, but it does appear to be interesting. Looks like he does different experiments on stage, almost similar to a magic show.

I'll be there with the wife. I live AB, and all his shows. If I need a recipe I search ___ and add Alton Brown at the end. She bought me the tickets for my birthday. I have no idea what to expect since it says singing and puppets

I do the exact same thing. Rarely has he lead me astray. I pull out the old Good Eats on occasion and watch with my 9yo. He gets a kick out of the production, so the singing and puppets will be entertaining to him.

Back from the show yet? How was it? Went a few years ago to his Houston show and had a great time. Wish I could have gone this year.

Went to see him at the Saenger the day of my father's funeral in 2014 with my younger brother. We have always loved Alton and I was very entertained. Not sure I wanted to see him again...but I am sure the reports will come back positive.

I went last night. It was a good show that lasted about 2.5 hours after starting a few minutes late. The Saenger was pretty full although there were a number of empty seats near the top.
Show was very entertaining with a lot of audience interaction and included an opening monologue, singing and basically science experiments involving food. He encourages the audience to ask questions using Twitter and answers them at the end of the show.

Surprisingly extremely entertaining. He plays a couple of humurous songs, tells some stories that are quite funny and everything centers around food science. My son had a blast. The experiments were interesting and fun, and his assistants were all entertaining as well.
I would definitely go again.

Bump for update. At the Houston show Alton announced that Good Eats will return ! He did not give any details but that news got a huge roar from the crowd . All in all a very enjoyable show.
